Just Right "My IoT"
Existing alarm-based "Home Guard" and popular home automation solutions are usually bulky, power-hungry, fragmented on operation and expensive (sometimes incurring hidden costs), offering very limited configuration and usage capabilities. Some existing home automation solutions are not reliable with very limited configuration capabilities to meet specific scenarios and needs. The standard "home-guard" packages offered are usually non-preventive and difficult to set-up and at the same time they have a limit in the actions that a user can perform. Needless to say that due their size they do not blend with their living space, forcing users to store them in locations clearly visible to intruders.
The Just Right My IoT offering combines really small, low powered, micro-electronic device with wireless, reliable guarding, light and generic purpose devices (switches, rollers, irrigation, smoke detection, temperature, thermostats, even blinds and tents). Since these devices are connected through a main controller following the "mesh-network" principle i.e. Z-Wave, it can support a big number of devices spread around the space, in some cases quite far away from each other. The underlying software supports easily and reliably these technologies, allowing the full customization and the offering of any desired scene or scenario.
The generic philosophy behind Just Right "My IoT" is for owners to monitor quietly through cameras their property and at the same time discourage intruders from entering the premise in a non-disruptive way rather than simply notifying them about their upcoming actions. The solution can be offered in various different forms and shapes i.e. bare-naked, in small wooden boxes. Due to the small size it can be hidden in practically any space within the house
The complete offering comprises of 2 main components: "My Surveilance" and "My Home Automation", through which users are able to:
- sensing points of entrance and get alerted upon intruding.
- control lights and devices locally or remotely through their mobile phones or over Internet through a browser
- configure the way lights and devices should behave and/or create scenes to improve living and discourage/confuse intruders
- control lights, devices, "trapping" and "alerting" locally or remotely through their mobile devices or over Internet through their browser
- monitor in real time the activity of each of the IP camera connected, through the local network or over Internet browser or even a mobile device
- record movement for each IP Camera installed and access the recordings for playing back to identify possible intrusion
- specify and use any desired combination of events that comprises "My Surveilance" and "My Home Automation" capabilities to secure and improve day-to-day living at the same time
Although, all users can benefit from the Just Right "My IoT" offering, it can be particularly useful for home/shop owners (including premises that are far away from a base location, making it difficult to monitor in person), and elderly people that need to be guarded and monitored remotely by trusted individuals.

A wide range of devices i.e. Z-Wave, wireless is fully supported. Typically the following items may be considered when defining the topology during consultation:
- Traps/Sensors: installed on windows or door and allowing signaling on opening. They also support notification on tampering attempts and reporting temperature.
- Multi-sensors: installed on points of entrance when multiple windows and/or shutters need to be protected. A proprietary solution is engineered to support this need and reduce the cost.
- Dimmers and Switches: installed usually behind existing switches allowing light control and sceneries to be defined
- Tent controllers: installed anywhere in the house along with the provided remote control. Can be controlled remotely with a mobile app.
- Air conditioning controllers: installed close to the A/C unit. Can be controlled remotely with a mobile app.
- Garage door sensors: installed on garage doors and allowing signaling when the door is opened (upon changing the angle of the garage door).
- Roller and Blind switches : installed usually next to a window, or a tent allowing opening or closing as desired.
- Thermostats: installed in combination with heating appliances allowing the control of the heating in the house.
- Sirens: installed usually outdoors or in intermediate areas allowing intrusion panicking and confusion.
- UPS: installed together with the main controller and possibly the router allowing uninterruptable IoT operation.
- Tablet or any portable device: optionally located centrally allowing the controlling and monitoring of all devices in the network.
As Just Right “My IoT" hides most of the complexity for the users, it requires very little to be fully operational:
- Internet with adequate bandwidth: the minimum requirement is ADSL 24Mbps, although VDSL is recommended especially when IP cameras are required in the solution
- Modern router: the provided router should support uPnP and port forwarding
