Just Right "My Cloud"
Existing, Internet based, cloud solutions offer limited capacity for free and their paid services are usually expensive when calculated over time. The existing on-premise cloud solutions allow this capacity to be increased on demand but they are usually expensive and not intuitive to configure for the end customer. In addition, on-premise solutions do not blend with customer’s environment, as they are contained in boxes that convert customer’s living space into a computer room.
The Just Right "My Cloud" offering allows users to preserve their own data in their own space in a way that it blends with their living space (truly ubiquitous) and share/use them either within their private network or throughout the whole world over a browser at the same time, without relying on any 3rd party web-based solutions. Therefore, customers get a full-blast personal cloud technologically consisting of a micro-computer and a hard drive with the recommended capacity contained within pieces of furniture that blend with the selected room i.e. small furniture, or nice looking wooden boxes or attached to photo frames or even hidden within pieces of art or even fully transparent for technology driven users
With Just Right “My Cloud” users are able to access their data:
- through a browser over internet
- through mobile devices using the appropriate application
- using a WebDav compatible application
- over the local household network using SAMBA
- from their smart TVs supporting the DLNA protocol
The solution is pre-integrated with the Just Right “My Backup” module, providing a bullet-proof offering in the area of personal data.
The Just Right "My Back-up" solution is an intuitive offering combining really small, low powered, micro-electronic device with storage in a truly ubiquitous way. Rather than having to simply connect devices and copy files across, the solution allows the file synchronisation either manual or automatic (scheduled) way. Therefore, users do not need to worry about losing their data, as there is always a way to retrieve them, through Just Right "My Back-up". Finally, the solution can be offered in various different forms and shapes i.e. bare-naked, in small wooden boxes. Due to the small size it can be hidden in practically any space within the house.
Although, all users can benefit from the Just Right "My Cloud" offering, it can be particularly useful for individuals that do not want to rely on internet based data repositories and want to keep their data safe at home i.e. business on the move, shop owners, families.
The Just Right "My Cloud" recommended solution comes with 1TB HHD (and a similar 1TB HDD if back-up is needed), however this can be customised according to the user’s needs. Customisation occurs at the time of delivery, although end-users can further customize the platform supporting the solution.
As Just Right "My Cloud" hides most of the complexity for the users, it requires very little to be fully operational:
- Internet with adequate bandwidth: the minimum requirement is ADSL 24Mbps, although VDSL is recommended especially when IP cameras are required in the solution
- Modern router: the provided router should support uPnP and port forwarding
